Terms of Service

Effective date: November 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of ShortsCutter at shortscutter.sweetai.work. By using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

The service

ShortsCutter is a web service that turns long-form videos into short clips. It transcribes submitted videos, evaluates and scores candidate moments, applies captions and other automated or user-selected edits, and provides finished clips through an online workspace. Optional features include re-editing, brand templates, posting reminders, and posting a finished clip to a YouTube channel you connect.

Features may change as the founding beta develops. Scores, suggested titles, transcripts, and automated edits are tools to help you review and prepare content; they are not guarantees of accuracy, audience response, platform approval, or commercial performance.

Your account

You may sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Information you provide must be accurate and kept reasonably current. Tell us promptly at contact@sweetai.work if you believe your account has been used without authorization.

Your content and rights

You retain the rights you hold in videos, audio, images, text, logos, templates, and other materials that you submit or create with ShortsCutter. You grant ShortsCutter a limited, non-exclusive license to access, copy, process, transcribe, edit, format, store, deliver, and—only when you direct us to—publish that content as necessary to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for your content. By submitting a video or other material, you represent that you own it or have all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions needed to use it with ShortsCutter and to create, distribute, and publish the resulting clips. You are also responsible for reviewing an output before using or posting it.

The license above ends for future use when the relevant content is deleted from ShortsCutter, except for copies that must be retained for security, legal, accounting, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes. Content already posted to YouTube or another destination at your direction remains governed by that destination and your controls there.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use ShortsCutter to:

We may remove content, suspend processing, or suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or if continued use creates legal or security risk.

Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds

The ShortsCutter founding beta is $19 per month. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through Gumroad. Founding members keep the $19 monthly price for as long as they remain subscribed, as stated on the pricing page.

You can cancel through Gumroad at any time. Cancellation stops future renewal, and access continues until the end of the current paid period unless Gumroad's applicable checkout terms provide otherwise.

Refunds, taxes, payment processing, and billing disputes are handled under the terms and any refund policy presented by Gumroad at checkout and under applicable law. Cancellation by itself does not refund the current paid period unless required by those terms or applicable law. ShortsCutter does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Third-party services and YouTube

ShortsCutter uses Google for sign-in and optional YouTube connection, Gumroad for subscriptions, and YouTube when you submit, connect, or post content. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which govern your use of their features.

If you connect YouTube, you authorize ShortsCutter to upload finished clips to your channel only when you use the posting feature. You may disconnect the channel in ShortsCutter or revoke access through Google at any time. You are responsible for content you direct us to post and for complying with the YouTube Terms of Service.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ShortsCutter available and processing jobs reliably, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Processing times vary with source length, demand, and third-party availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, provided that changes will not remove access already paid for during the current paid period without an appropriate remedy required by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShortsCutter and SweetAI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or audience growth arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for claims arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid to ShortsCutter during the twelve months before the claim, or US $100 if you have not paid anything.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShortsCutter and SweetAI from claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your content, your use of an output, your publication of a clip, or your violation of these terms or another person's rights, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
