Privacy Policy
This policy explains what ShortsCutter collects when you use shortscutter.sweetai.work, why we collect it, how it is stored, and how you can request deletion. ShortsCutter turns long videos that you submit into short clips.
Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your email address, display name, profile picture URL, and an account identifier so we can sign you in and associate your work with your account. If you request a free sample without an account, we collect the delivery email address you enter.
Videos, jobs, and generated content
We collect the video links you submit and the information needed to process them, including job settings, focus prompts, transcripts, moment scores and score reasons, captions, generated titles, finished clips, edits, brand templates, and posting-reminder settings.
Subscription and authorization records
Subscriptions are sold and processed through Gumroad. We store subscription and entitlement records—such as license-key linkage, plan status, and the current paid period—so the site can recognize your access. Payment-card details are entered with Gumroad and are not stored by ShortsCutter.
We also keep records of optional service connections you authorize, including the YouTube connection described below.
YouTube API Services
ShortsCutter uses YouTube API Services. If you choose to connect YouTube or submit a YouTube video, your use of YouTube remains subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
When you connect a channel, Google and YouTube provide us with channel information and authorization tokens. We store the authorization tokens so ShortsCutter can upload finished clips to your channel only when you ask us to post them, and can associate the resulting YouTube video ID and available view, like, and comment counts with the clip in your workspace.
You can disconnect YouTube in ShortsCutter at any time. You can also revoke ShortsCutter's access in your Google Account permissions settings. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
How we use information
- To create, transcribe, score, edit, render, host, and deliver your clips.
- To provide My clips, Studio, brand templates, posting reminders, and account support.
- To verify subscriptions and provide the features included in your plan.
- To connect to YouTube and upload a clip when you direct us to do so, and to show available statistics for clips posted through ShortsCutter.
- To communicate about jobs, subscriptions, security, and support requests.
- To protect the service against abuse, errors, and unauthorized access.
Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only as needed to operate the features you use—for example with Google and YouTube for sign-in, channel connection, and uploads; with Gumroad for subscriptions; and with hosting and delivery providers that store or serve your clips. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the safety, rights, or security of users and the service.
Cookies and local storage
ShortsCutter stores a sign-in token in your browser's local storage so you remain signed in between pages and visits. The site also stores an anonymous visitor identifier and limited attribution information in browser storage for aggregate usage reporting and to keep sign-in and return flows working. Signing out removes the ShortsCutter sign-in token from that browser.
Google, YouTube, and Gumroad may use their own cookies or browser storage when you use their sign-in, authorization, video, or checkout flows. Public ShortsCutter pages may also load Google advertising or measurement services, which are governed by those providers' policies.
Storage, retention, and deletion
Finished clips and the job records needed to display them are hosted so they remain available in your workspace. We keep account, job, subscription, and authorization records while they are needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
To request deletion of your ShortsCutter account data, email contact@sweetai.work from the address associated with the account and identify the data you want deleted. Deleting a copy held by ShortsCutter does not delete a video already posted to YouTube; you control and can remove that copy through YouTube.
Disconnecting YouTube stops future use of the stored YouTube authorization for new uploads. Revoking access through Google also prevents ShortsCutter from using that authorization.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect account and authorization data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may sign out, disconnect YouTube, cancel a subscription through Gumroad, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your account data. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal, or accounting reasons.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
